I have always been interested in Art. Even as a child I would often try to recreate characters from my favourite comics or cartoons, such as 2000ad and the Beano. My interest in the creative subjects continued throughout my school life.

After finishing my secondary school education, I worked for a few years in the paper and print industry. It was during this time I realised that my creativeness was being wasted.

I returned to education as a mature student, where I studied Art, Photography and Media at Basildon college. During my time there, I began to fuse together the various forms of media which I had learnt (including photography, typography and illustration). As popular culture is an important part of my life, this was often reflected in my artwork.

After graduating my courses at college, I went on to study Graphic Fine Art at The University Of East London and Graphic Design at Barking College respectively.

During my time at Barking College, I had photographic artwork selected by Insight Investment, which was displayed at their head office in the financial district of London.

After completing my course, I worked for a short period as a portrait photographer. I still felt the need to create artwork with the various medias that I had learnt and was eager to use the skills that I had developed. In 2006 multi platinum selling Australian/ New Zealand band Evermore used a selection of my images as part of their background projection during a tour of Australia.

In 2010 I co-founded a community art gallery in my home town in Essex. This gave artists (both amateur and professional) a much needed space where they could display their artwork as well encourage local artists to come forward. The gallery proved such a success a second gallery was set up. I have also worked on and helped with a number of local community art projects.

In 2013 I was contacted by the BBC. They required artwork in the 'Pop Art' style of Andy Warhol for a television series called Marrying Mum And Dad. The episode was broadcast on the CBBC channel in August of that year.

I continue to create striking and bespoke pieces of artwork with spray paint, acrylics and pencil as well as using digital technology to produce illustrations.

My artistic influences are of a diverse mixture including; Lowry, Lichtenstein, Warhol (and the Pop Art movement), Banksy (and the street art movement), Drew Struzan as well as artists from the skate and surf scene. Being a keen guitarist myself, music has also played a crucial part in inspiring me when creating various pieces of art.

I also run art workshops during the week, where I share my experience and knowledge with the students.
